About me: My name is Kate and I’ve been fascinated with history for as long as I can remember. Since I was a child I believed that we were capable of creating connections to history through touch. When my parents brought home an antique, I’d find myself brushing my fingers across its surface, daydreaming. This desire to connect with a time different from my own spiraled into this unspeakable love affair with antique and vintage clothing. I would wrap myself in an old dress, fingers racing over every button and fragment of lace, look in the mirror, and see myself. Possibly as someone would’ve seen themselves long ago. There was magic in every little moment in vintage.

It’s so meaningful to me, to wear something that someone once lived in, breathed in, loved in. The closest thing I might ever get to a time machine is the relationship made here.
